Protecting patient privacy is fundamental to maintaining trust in the healthcare system. Regardless of how, where and by whom personal health information is collected, stored or used, its security and protection must remain a top priority. The Coalition is dedicated to working alongside policymakers and industry stakeholders to build upon the legal and regulatory framework established by Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to protect identifiable health information.
